About this instrument
MODEL: Quantachrome AUTOSORB iQ
The Quantachrome AUTOSORB iQ is an advanced surface area and pore size analysis instrument primarily used for characterizing the porosity, surface area, and other structural properties of materials.
Features of the Quantachrome AUTOSORB iQ:
- Versatile Gas Sorption Capabilities:
- Supports nitrogen, and CO2(analysis temperature : 0-25C) for a wide range of applications.
- Multilevel Pressure Control:
- Offers precise control over the pressure during the sorption/desorption process to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
- Comprehensive Analysis:
- Provides a wide range of analysis options, including BET surface area, total pore volume, pore size distribution (using various methods like BJH, NLDFT), and micropore analysis.
- Capability to measure both microporous and mesoporous materials.
- Advanced Software (ASiQwin™):
- Comes with ASiQwin™ software for control, data collection, and advanced analysis. The software includes a variety of models for surface area and pore structure characterization, and it allows for easy interpretation of results.
- Fully Automated Degassing System:
- Provides complete control over the degassing process, which is essential to ensure accurate measurements by eliminating any adsorbed water or contaminants on the sample before analysis.
- Multi-sample Analysis:
- Capable of running three samples at same degassing temperature and time.
- Temperature Range:The system typically operates from 77K – 300 K.
- Pore Size Range:Can measure pore sizes from micropores (<2 nm) to mesopores (2–50 nm) and macropores (>50 nm).
- Surface Area Measurement:Can determine specific surface areas from a few m²/g to >3000 m²/g depending on the material.
- Sample Capacity:
- Can analyze a range of sample sizes, from small powders to large pellets.
- Minimum 100 mg required for dense materials and 50 mg for porous and light materials.
